Iranian Association of Chemical Engineering (IAChE)

Chemical engineering is the application of physical sciences principles combined with economic fundamentals and human relations in fields directly related to processes and necessary equipment where materials undergo operations to change state, composition, or energy amount. In this regard, the IAChE was established in 1992 by a group of professors, students, experts, and enthusiasts of chemical engineering as a scientific institution, obtaining permission from the Scientific Associations Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.

The IAChE was founded in 1992 by a group of professors, students, experts, and enthusiasts of chemical engineering to achieve the following goals.

The IAChE's office is currently located in Tehran near Sharif University of Technology and benefits from several provincial branches. Chemical engineering students at various academic levels, faculty members of chemical engineering departments across the country (both public and private universities), experts and graduates, business owners and entrepreneurs in specialized chemical engineering fields, and related managers are the Society’s audience.

Promote knowledge and technology of chemical engineering in Iran and provide opportunities for research projects by universities and industries
Cooperate with various institutions to develop necessary standards in chemical engineering
Collaborate with universities and research centers to hold national and international chemical engineering congresses

Plan and execute scientific competitions for students and pupils

Activities of the IAChE

The activities of the IAChE are summarized in four axes: development of services and providing comprehensive services to society members, empowerment of members, pursuing scientific and professional rights of members, and internationalization of the society. Alongside these four axes, providing social services, social impact, and attention to the society's social responsibility are also among the important and emphasized activities of the IAChE.
